Our mission
Get the audience in the space where they want to know!
Because real change happens when people lean in, not when they’re told to.

Why we do what we do
At Medianauts, we design films with intent. We don’t create art for art’s sake—we craft stories that connect. To inform, to engage, and to make people curious. Because before you can tell people anything, you first have to make them want to know.
That’s why we make films you want to watch, not films you have to watch. Stories that pull you in, shift perspectives, and leave a lasting mark.
Founder Tom de Jong
I believe we’re stuck in bubbles. And that stories can either reinforce them—or burst them wide open.
My career started at Zondag met Lubach, where I saw firsthand how sharp storytelling can challenge perspectives. From there, I moved into format development and production, working across the world—from Bangkok to NYC and even above the Arctic Circle. But no matter where I was, I kept asking myself the same question:
Why aren’t we taking more risk?
Why do we keep making beautifully crafted climate films for left-leaning audiences? They already agree. The impact? Zero. What if we made a climate film for the right instead? What if we stepped into uncomfortable spaces, took real creative risks, and dared to reach the people who aren’t already listening? It won’t be easy. It won’t be the film you expect. But that’s exactly why it matters.
And that’s exactly why Medianauts exists—to break patterns, take bold creative leaps, and make stories that actually reach beyond the bubble. That’s how we won big pitches. That’s how we launch new shows. By stepping out of our comfort zone, embracing the unknown—who knows, it might just work. And if it does? Even better.
